Is Larry The Cable Guy Funny?
One of his jokes: "My sister has moles on her face. She married a Mexican guy and we call her guacamole." I was watching Comedy Central and after this joke, the audience just broke apart with laughter. Are people just dumber or is this guy funny?
Answers:
I find Larry to be one of the worst comedians in recent history.
His jokes pander to the lowest common denominator of intelligence, encourage ignorance, and rely on gimmicky catch-phrases.
Sure people laugh in the audience because the average IQ of his fans is probably in the low 70's. I assume his popularity is a reflection of the general ignorance of our country which is sad but not surprising.
Luckily there are plenty of intelligent comedians out there to help us forget about idiots like LTCG such as Patton Oswalt and David Cross. David Cross has a feud with Larry over comments he made in a Rolling Stones article:
