Answers:
Tate's hate group saw Kirk as a threat to the group. It was an inside job in the prison. Bo said a white guy, a supremacist in the prison killed Kirk while the other inmated blocked the security cameras. Kirk was about to tell Bo it was Tate when he got killed. Sad.
