I'm interested in purchasing the "Golden Girls" DVD sets. Are the episodes restored from the Lifetime edits (which are annoying, by the way)? Additional Details

Yes, the DVDs are widely available. But I want to know if the episodes are edited or not. On the Lifetime versions, it's easy to spot an edit because the cuts are so abrupt you're always left thinking, "Whoah, I just missed something."

Yes, the DVDs are widely available. But I want to know if the episodes are edited or not. On the Lifetime versions, it's easy to spot an edit because the cuts are so abrupt you're always left thinking, "Whoah, I just missed something." The DVD sets for Seasons 3 and 5 *do* contain some of the edited versions. Buena Vista Video said that several of the original master tapes were no longer in good condition.
Otherwise, Seasons 1-2, 4, and 6-7 are the full-length original network versions. Source(s):

Did you know the lady that was supposed to be the oldest in that show was actually the youngest one of the bunch? Just some trivia.
