it's a different plot then what we usually see, it's action packed, keeps you on your toes, good writing, good acting, full of suprises, never a dull moment, interesting character developement.

I absolutely loved the first season. The concept was brilliant and the acting was great. When the show's producers decided to go from a 20 episode series to a long-run series they lost me. This desicion came right when the gang was about to break out. You may remember that they got to the pipe under the hospital wing and it was replaced. Suddenly they had to change plans and dig through the guard's rec room.
That was when they lost me. They gave up on the tattoos, they got into the 2-4 twists per episode problem, killed off the characters protrayed by actors that only wanted to do one season, and overstretched the story.
Since that point the story has gotten out of control. The series has no flow. You can't see an end in sight and there is no hope of a 'conclusion' like on Lost.
The writers lost their way and from what I understand the show is likely to be canceled by the end of the season because it is dropping the ratings every week.
Rewatch the first few episodes from the series and you will see that the show has become a joke and the original premise is gone.
