Honestly, she played the "aw shucks, you guys really think I have a good voice" card too many times and wore out her welcome. Plain and simple. Good singer, yes! Nice person, from what I saw - yes! But she obviously knew she had a good singing voice because that's what she chose to do FOR A LIVING. So to have her be shocked like someone heard her singing inthe shower and gave her praise looked phoney after about ..........oh, the seventh time she did it?
Between her and the other one who kept saying what a hard life she had, like she was the only one...........they overplayed it and boom....lost the edge they had with their great voices and style.
By the way, she would have been so great as a winner, I liked her a lot...
she was good but a little old fashioned , and not everybodies cup of tea , however she has a promising career ahead of her anyway, sometimes the winner doesn't always make it to the big time , so she maybe better off in the long run for not winning xx
I would've voted for her. But I guess the voting populace understood that she'd be recognised by any recording label no matter what, thus the million dollar recording contract wasn't really necessary. We should b expecting a new album from Mindy Do or from any of last year's "American Idol" competitors this winter. But as of now, Jordin Sparks blazes her trail as "Tattoo" appears on the Billboard charts and on Rick Dees & Ryan Seacrest's countdowns.
I think that she should have. I like Jordin.. although it seems as though a lot of them have not really done anything. Seems as though huge success is not common for that show.
Its too bad though.. Melinda seemed like a great person, she had a kind way about her. I would like her to do something a little more mature.
