To our American cousins?!

Question: I would be interested to know if the latest series of our Sci-Fi programme DR WHO has reached the US and if anyone there liked it, or is it too British?

Yes, it's shown on the Sc-Fi channel here. We just got the season with David Tennant and Freema Agyeman, and John Simm as the Master. It's fairly popular over here. We also recently finished off Torchwood - it's not as good, but I happen to like John Barrowman. Plus, we've seen shows like Life on Mars and Jekyll. My biggest complaint is that we have more commercials, so between that and the general puritan attitude over here, shows can get pretty butchered. It can get frustrating.

You shouldnt ask Americans questions like this their heads might explode

Ha! That first answer was a good one! As an American, I can tell you that some of us prefer British programming over our own.

I have BBC America, and my hands-down favorite show is Waking the Dead. Waaaay better than CSI, which is actually a rip off, just like The Office (but you already knew that).

As for Dr. Who, it's not personally my "cup of tea," but I think it could catch on with just a little more advertising. Advertising is everything here in the States.

no idea sorry

Yeah that used to be one of my dad's favorite shows and I watched too when I was younger, but I haven't seen any episodes recently.

never heard of it Dr. who is that some to do with austin powers???
