I'm not excusing it, but to appear on the front of a paper like some domestic abuse victim is an insult to women who really do suffer. She also claims they kept breaking up then getting back together again, so they were hardly stable were they. he met Cerys and they had a connection, it happens. Anyone mad enough to harm themselves by putting their arm through a window and then calling police and having the other person arrested for assult says it all to be honest.

Agree with you yet again Caspar!! I would think she would be ashamed to say that she stuck her arm through a plate glass window - hardly the actions of a stable sane person! She admitted she was hitting him to at the time so it was hardly abuse from him as they were having a drunken fight. Keeping my fingers tightly crossed for Marc and Cerys and hope they will make a go of it. They deserve it.

Well said!! could she be any less dignifyed about this, i can only imagine that she must be very immature....this is what you do when your at school and a 'boy' wrongs you, you tell any1 that will listen to you how wronged you are and how bad he was anyway.....as you get older you see things more clearly that fault is a 2 way thing, and that it doesnt matter how much you b*tch its not going to make things better or change whats happening....so you tell your mum and best mate, and then you hold your head up high, and certainly dont start washing your dirty laundry in public.....i think she thinks that all this publicity is getting her somewhere, unfortunately we know that once the dust settles (very quickly) on this story she will look back with great regret on what shes said and done.....i've just realized that i feel pity for her.....ahh well, life goes on.
I think that it was said out of retaliation for the hurt and humiliation he's caused her - a woman scorned and all that! It's bad enough when it happens to the normal "bod" on the street when they realise all their family and friends know, but for Sarah, she's a celebrity (more so than Marc) and this farce was witnessed in front of millions of people. She was probably encouraged by her manager to do the interview as a way of hitting back - but of course for him it was more publicity which equals more money for him! Yes, it would have been better if she'd kept a dignified silence but I can't blame her for wanting to hurt him back!
I agree, but I suppose they offered her a lot of money and she is not exactly busy so it must have came in handy.
Agreed and don't you also find it rather 'odd' that she had to physically get on a plane and fly to Australia to be there to break the news when he comes out. The problem is these people cry wolf so much that nobody can tell the truth from a publicity stunt, and this clearly is a poor attempt to sell her story and get some publicity.

I agree, Sarah Matravers should have kept quiet, but as she's clearly not an A-list actress she probably needs the money - and it's a quick solution selling a story to the tabloids. Needing money isn't a way of condoning what she's done, she probably feels distraught, desperate too, and not thinking straight. If you look at the article on her on Wikipedia, you'll see she has a colourful past with regard to relationships, and isn't the poor innocent woman she's trying to make herself out to be!

I think that for her, the lure of publicity and the dosh, is far stronger than holding onto any dignity.
I do feel sorry for her, But does she really want him if he doesn't know what he wants. She should not trash him in the press it makes her look trashy.
I think that Cerys and Marc obviously have a strong bond, Good luck to them.

If anyone treated me the way she claims he did her I'd be damned if I would travel all that distance for him, even if it was paid for and 6 star luxury. She knew before going what was going on and when she got there she worked the cameras rather well.
