GH fans, apparently Leslie Charleston"Monica" is very unhappy with her!

Question: Storylines come and go for all characters. "Monica" had a tremendous storyline about breast cancer several years ago but after a while she just became a mother and doctor. Alexis had a cancer story which started out strong but vanished and she has been pushed to supporting other characters.Isn't that just the way these things go?

She "deserves" a better storyline but what would it be? She has pretty much done all she can do... what would be left?

Leslie (Monica) is a seasoned actress with GH and deserves a great storyline. She's part of the backbone of GH and helped to make it so successful.

I, personally, find Monica's character dull and boring. I think the writer's have somewhat ruined her character over the years. They should involve her in some kind of major storyline and bring her character back to life. I'm upset about how they've pushed Alexis and Kristina to the side. It irritates me because it seems like a baby is born and then they disappear, you never hear or see the children.

Leslie Charleson is a veteran actress with more than 20 years on GH and her lack of air-time is repulsive and represents a trend in daytime currently of replacing veteran (anyone over 40 years of age) with "newbies", less expieranced (also cheaper to hire) actors that often are terrible actors but easy on the eyes.

Leslie deserves a storyline for sure. She hasn't had a front-burner storyline in over 10 years and has been reduced to a side character.

But she's not even the worst case; Jackie Zeamen (Bobbie) was basically the lead character on GH in the 1990's and hasn't had a storyline since 2001 and hasn't been on screen in any way since August of this year.

soaps in general, but GH in particular need to do a better job of using the talent they have and giving fans the characters they want to see.

GH should do what One Life To Live does...they have different storylines for the different age groups. I do miss Monica, Leslie, Mike, etc. The only person that this doesn't seem to effect is Luke. Unfortunately, with GH...they seem to have one storyline with this super couple or that super couple and all the other characters revolve around them. I also think that GH gives the shaft to strong female characters such as Monica and Alexis. I would really like to see Monica hook up with Mike.

She sure does deserve one. She has been with the show for 30 years and is one of the few left of the central family of the show. She is a wonderfully talented actress and should be used more often. Her work the other day is proof of that. She broke my heart having to throw Jason out like that.

Monica needs to have a storyline where she has a breakdown, she needs to have a very dangerous storyline and Jason needs to save her.

yes b/c she is important and she should have more storylines b/c emily and alan are gone and she is sooo mad at jason its not his fault. ='(

yes I think she Deserves to to have a better story line than what she has, she has been on that show for years and helped it get to where it is now.

GH sadly neglects its older actors, most of whom can act rings around the current crop of children. For some reason networks are convinced that the way to save the soaps is to appeal to kids but the real way would be to give us good plots with lots of fun, morality and action. But until they see that the talents of Monica, Bobbie, Mike, Noah, Edward, Tracy and Mac will be neglected for light weights and killers like Logan, Johnny, the Almighty Jason and others. Even Sonny and Luke are getting less and less air time. It is a shame

I'd love to see Monica get a good storyline and a young lover. I hope she makes up with Jason also.

Monica's last storyline was forever ago -- she definitely deserves a new one, or at the very least a larger presence as a supporting character; we barely see her. It's not "the way things go" when certain characters are constantly margianalized and others are almost always front and center. That's a sign of bad writing and poor use of resources. Leslie Charleston is far from the only example -- Jacklyn Zeman (Bobbie) is almost never seen, Rachel Ames (Audrey) left without so much as a goodbye scene, Denise Alexander (Lesley) is only used as a babysitter, and there's a whole bunch of other characters that are so underused I can't even think of them at the moment. A soap is supposed to be about an entire town, not just the same people (*coughgummibearmobcough*) week in and week out.

Alan's gone, so another "stupid affair" at HER AGE would be just that, STUPID! Emily's gone, she'll mourn, "boo-hoo". What could her character do? A story line on "plastic surgery gone bad", featuring her and Jackie Zeman(Bobby)???

she has been on for so long..I like her..however, I don't watch GH anymore for the stupid mobster storyline. I am a die hard Luke and Laura fan since forever...

i hate "monica" shes so boring!
the only time she was good when they were fighting over the custody for Jason back in '83.
