i agree with Louis.....they use their tragedies to gain the sympathy votes...they should just select the people who can sing and who REALLY want this for themselves instead of auntie maud or uncle johns illness....it's not fair on other people who are there for their own genuine reasons...yes they should ban sob stories...
I agree I hate that Leon cos his sob story was his mum was a single mum, who strived to put food on the table for him.
Every Mum strives to put food on that god dam table, it is her job, why would I feel sorry for him?????????????
Yep. That's what Ive thought since the very beginning.
Nobody cares if they got bullied or whatever else they say.
They care about HOW WELL THEY CAN SING.
If they are good enough t get through on singing, they dont need sob stories.
Sob stories = not strong enough voices to get through on talent.
I agree - it is a singing competition, not a competition to see who's got the best sob story!!!!!!!
Well it's been a year for them but Louis is the last one who should complain! After all he mentioned Nikki's dad after she sang his favourite song and got 'emotional'. Why mention him at all if not to 'remind' people she'd lost him! He practically begged the viewers to vote for her but he didn't say because she could sing but because he'd lost Bev too!
I think he's forgetting that viewers come in ALL AGES! Same Difference have the young vote, Leon has the teen vote and Nikki and Rhydian have the older vote. Rhydian was bound to win that contest anyway! Louis' always been a sore loser!!!!!
I agree that they should ban the sob stories at least till after the competition, then those people who seem to need to know the ups and downs can buy the story in the latest mag!
Yeh it's been pretty bad this year sob story wise. A lot of people have been complaining.
Everyone except Rhydian seems to have one, but apparantly they get told to tell their sob story for the camera, so I guess they're just going along with it.
I don't think anyone should be hated BECAUSE they have a sob story though, as like I said, they are told to give one. The producers know it'll get more people voting.
You could tell Sarah couldn't help crying last week though, people have been saying she did it for a sympathy vote, but she couldn't help it!
Also, Louis has mentioned Nikki's Dad at least once before in the competition, was that not for sympathy then Louis?!

at the beginning of the show i didn't mind the sob stories ,because everyone has had sadness in their lives but tbh i am sick to the t!ts with it now , its gone beyond a joke , louis absolutely right same difference got through last week because of sarahs croc tears as i said last week in one of my quesions did any teardrops fall ? i think not !!!!!

we should only vote for the act on the night not who/s got the best sob story. but it looks like peeps have done exactly that .what a lash up.
