He didn't die. He was just written out. After the whole coming out storyline, he simply went for greener pastures.
He was never officially written off the show - he just fell of the face of the Earth. I thought it was pretty lame that he wasn't even mentioned at Georgie's funeral.
The writers trotted him out a while ago for a coming-out storyline, then forgot about him again. As they're prone to do.
he didn't die he had a gay story line then some time before Diego died, might have even been around when Sage died, but he could come back i suppose the way he left. I don't recall there being an exit line for him either.
Yeah, he came out of the closet and told everyone he was gay and was sort of written out of the show, he didn't die or anything. I think that stoary line was turning out bad anyways. I forgot about him until you mentioned him.
The writers never followed up on the storyline with Lucas. He announced he was gay and then seemed to disappear.
Lucas announced to his friends and family that he is gay. His father was supportive after Lucas came out. Georgie set him up with her friend Guy Tucker and they are now dating. Lucas was last seen mourning at his father's grave after Tony died in an encephalitis epidemic in February 2006.

I think he just went to college. They never addressed the issue, they just stopped showing him when Ben Hogestyn left the show.
