Who seriously thinks that Reality shows are real? Why does the media think viewe!
Question: This is not bashing anyone who watches Reality shows but if you ask me these Reality shows are as fake & phony as a Pro wrestling show or a Broadway play. I seriously believe the media thinks people are a bunch of brainless fools who can't tell the difference. To me they already determined the winners before they even ask the public to call & pick a winner. It's all nothing more than a scam to rip off people & make money from the people foolish enough to call.

My brother thinks the same that why he hates the "reality TV show" its not reality its all scripted and they cut and put things people like to see and that's why my bother and i and family likes sports more than Reality TV in sports you cant pause and rewind
You're right, they're fake and phony. But most viewers ARE brainless idiots so it works for them.
How real can it be, when you know you're being videotaped.
Some are real I think. Big Brother for example is all happening now and there's nothing the producers can really do to stop that. While pretty much any show you can see on MTV is fake. I was watching it the other day and their acting was HORRIBLE! Like if you can actually pull if off, then congrats but it was so bad.
Not all reality shows predetermine winners or have the viewers call in and say who they want to win either. Amazing Race does NOT do that. If you think it's phony, try watching it one week and see the taping going on during their struggles and endurance and competition to get to the end of their task. These are REAL people trying to compete and I don't see how you can call it phony.
Maybe you are talking about specific reality shows but since The Amazing Race is a reality show too, I just wanted to let you know that not all reality shows are created equal!

They are fake...if they weren't, how could you be stranded on an island somewhere, need to find your own food, something to drink & have a video crew with you. Hummm....what's missing here??? Gotta agree with you n John on this one. Star for you!
