Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis?!
Question: A few years ago I had started watching random episodes of both Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis on SciFi, Fox, and KDFI 27 and thought they were good. Now years later I know what they're all about and try to record them on my dvr. The only problem is that I have not seen the first episodes of either series. I'm really into it and like the whole story but somethings I just don't get that were probably explained in the first episodes. Another major factor in this is that my girlfriend is really into it and has seen almost every episode and tries to talk to me about it but can't. It kills me because I love Stargate but know so little about it...
So, I'm going to ask the question you guys have seen a million times already. Are there any sites where I can watch episodes for free? I tried youtube and google videos and no such luck. Would I be better off buying the series' in dvd sets? Christmas has come and gone and my birthday is in October so gah....what should I do? pls thx

The first seasons are out on DVD. See if your local library has copeis you can check out, or if your local video stores have copies for rent.
Also, Season 1 of Stargate Atlantis is at about Season 7 of Stargate SG-1, so you may want to start on the SG1 shows for quite a while before worrying on the Atlantis shows.
If you really like it, I would suggest buying the shows on DVD. I recently saw Stargate SG-1 at Walmart for $20 a season and Circuit City normally has both shows for $20 in late December/early January. Also Amazon normally has a fairly good price on the Complete Series Set of SG-1. I would suggest buying that instead of separate seasons if you don't own any seasons yet and if you like watching behind the scenes and special effects stuff. Stargate Atlantis normally costs a little bit more (a few dollars more for each season) just because the show is still airing new episodes but you can still find it for a fairly good price. I've never actually watched either of the shows online before, so I don't know where you could watch it but I will star your question so maybe someone who does know where to watch it online will answer.
