Oh! All the fiddling to get the colour right, the convergence errors (blue/yellow fringing at the corners), We spent all our time watching the colour and not the programmes. Those were the days!
I still remember coming home to find our brand new color console t.v. What a great day that was and the Flintstones were sooo much better in color. Also do you remember when the consoles went out people just put the new t.v. atop the console. I think most households had that set up in the late sixties or early seventies.

In our town, there was only ONE channel until 1972.
But color tv was fantastic, especially the first big color "hit" series, BONANZA.
Now, however, I prefer re-watching all the old black and white television series, they were "classic" (NAKED CITY, TWILIGHT ZONE, OUTER LIMITS, UNTOUCHABLES, PERRY MASON, etc.)
Don't remember black and white but how many other people were their dad's remote control "hey go change the channel"
