Anyone else think Oprah is rude?!
Question: I don't watch Oprah religiously but I do watch it every once in a while. I don't understand how Oprah is such BIG deal to so many people AND how she has HELPED so many people out for the better.. BUT.........
On Oprahs shows it always seems like she could care less what people are saying, and she always interrupts them. She'll but in and say "Yup" and then go off saying something else, or asking a differnt question. I understand that there is a time limit on the show, but whatever ever happened to being personable!?! She doesn't seem caring at all!!
Does anyone else agree or is it just me?!

you are not alone!!! this is the reason i stopped watching her a long time ago. in addition to talking over people, she never shuts up AND the level of questions she asks is so simplistic that you wonder if she is interested at all in the people on her stage. as a journalist she supersucks.

I think Oprah is terrific and she keeps things moving along when other people talk & talk & talk and don't say anything. She seems very caring.
I totally agree. I do love Oprah and understand the need to keep the show moving and according to plan or whatever, but she does come off as rude sometimes. Sometimes I wonder why she has experts on since she just interrupts anyway.

All television or radio host have to cut people off from time to time or they will lose control of the show. She has the final say in what goes on her show. There might be another person or topic that she planed to her on her show.
She had some great topic on her show.

I think Oprah is really polite and friendly and if it seems like she is not listening to people it is because they have to go on a commercial breaks. Without the sponsors they don't make any money.
They also have other people to talk to and only have maybe about 45 minutes of the show that airs.
Oprah has continued taping after the show is over. I used to watch it on the Oxygen. I think it was called Oprah after the Show? I forgot but you are wrong about her.
