Is Desperate Housewives interesting for men, and if so why?!

Question: I love watching DH with my husband. Do you think it's ok for men to like it? Also applies to other 'female' programmes e.g. Mistresses, Ugly Betty.

Its fantastic, it gives us the opportunity to know what other women other than our own can be up to, keeps us in balance, and encourage us to continue to appreciate what we have.

give me football any day

I used to watch DH and thought it was great. Some programming for women is entertaining for men. Not most, but some. I also like Millionaire Matchmaker and The Bachelor.

Because of the hot women like eva longoria. duh.

yes. the sporty blonde ones funbags.

It's just a good program. Questions like this only hold back true equality.

I used to watch it a bit. Mainly to see whatserhername naked. (She seemed to be clothing-challenged that first season...).

Most men are gonna just be bored by it. If he's wtaching, its because he's hot for Eva Longoria.

Bore of the century !

I 'watch' DH with my other half when its on. By watch - i mean that i occassionally pay attention - and I must admit - I do enjoy it when i pay attention.

Never tried ugly betty or mistresses though,

I am 17 and I love it. I download it for my Mom so I might as well watch it too. I find the show funny and engaging. It is interesting to view how these "normal" housewives can all be so backstabbing and cruel to each other behind close doors. In my opinion this show really shows how women think. Don't get my wrong, not all women are like that but in general women usually talk about each other behind other peoples backs. I also enjoy Ugly Betty. It is a great show so different than what is out there right now. I think a lot of the fighting in Desperate Housewives is similar to the models and high brow rich people in Ugly Betty. It seems they are back stab each other etc.

my husband likes dh too, but denies it everyone else. I think it's because it's so bitchy, but he can'y stand any other shows, but he did like ally mcbeal

Men have no choice but to watch what are considered to be "girls programmes" that is all that seems to be made these days, really good men's tv programmes, apart from sport, quizcoms, and top gear, are few and far between I'd much rather find something else to do than watch programmes like desperate hosewives.
