The Writer's Strike is over, when will our TV shows be back on the air?!

Question: I saw on the news last night that they've settled the agreement, so when will our shows continue on with their stories?

Some shows will be back by April/May. Many shows will not have new episodes till Fall 2008. For a complete list: http://tvbythenumbers.com/2007/12/05/sho...

If everything is settled it could be about two weeks!

It will take most shows about two months to get the shows written, produced, filmed and back on TV.

The strike isn't officially over yet. Once it is, the studios will probably assess the pros and cons of each show's production timetables and decide which ones will start back immediately and which will wait until fall. They'll probably have announcements about what we can expect when. In general, simple shows like sitcoms can crank out new episodes in a few weeks. More complex dramas can take two months, especially if they have SFX to deal with.

they are thinking by april that all sjould be back to normal
