Once they killed off Marissa (Mischa Barton) at the end of the 3rd season, ratings dropped drastically. I continued to watch and thought it was still good, but about 1/3 of the viewers stopped watching.
Because it was an awful show.

It got a bit repetative really and os no one wanted to watch it anymore, and the story lines were a wee bit too stupid!! But yeah no one watched it really and so the ratings dropped! sorry m8 im afraid that the only way ya can watch it is d.v.d!!
the OC wasnt getting as many viewers as it used to have therefore no viewers means no money means no show
