American Idol guy singing Killer Queen...?!
Question: Ok well I just watched American Idol tonight, and there was this one guy who sang Killer Queen, I think his name was Luke (he sucked last week). What do you think of how he did? I think he totally TRASHED one of my favorite Queen songs...grr...such an annoying, over-theatrical performance.

Oh boy, yeah he was awful. I was embarrassed for him as I watched. I looked over and my husband was just shaking his head and grimacing. He seems like a nice guy but his voice is just grating to the ears. So yes, I concur that he trashed the song.
its amazing to me that so many of these singers think they could get away with a queen song....
It was painful to watch.
unfortunately, trashing of this song, and similar songs that should be left untouched, are being murdered at karaoke bars around the country. bummer, huh? (of course I'm innocent . . .)

Yeah anyone who tries to do a queen song better be able to come close but it was pretty bad and I thought Michael johns was the only one to make it look bad.
But have to agree with David A, AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! just about put me in tears just a wonderful job with the song.
he and chickeze and David N were the only ones in my book who deserve to be left on is week.
Luke's gotta go.... I thought after last week that he would really bring it this week. I was so wrong! Very hard to listen to and watch! I bet he sings some mean Bee Gees though!!
