On the RW/RR Challenge, The Gauntlet III, do you think ERIC was treated unfairly!

Question: Ok, it wasn't HIS fault for having a damn STROKE! Ok, that could have happened to ANYBODY! Right?

Some say he is out of shape, well let's look at the previous challenges...

In FRESH MEAT, he kicked A** in the missions, and the only reason he lost the exile is simply because his partner, Katie, was weak.

In THE DUEL, he DOMINATEd the "I bet You Can" Duel by lifting over 200 logs in a wheel barrow. AND they ONLY reason he lost was because WES BARELY beat him in the POLE WRESTLING challenge, which BTW, he didn't win it easy.

In the GAUNTLET III, he did great in just about every mission in the entire challenge, and they are still mad at him, for having a STROKE! Ok, it wasn't his fault, if he wouldn't have had it, he would have finished easily. I rooted for the Rookies anyway, especially for Jillian, and Frank, but the VETERANS were A**holes! Except for Brad, and Diem.

I absolutely 100% agree with you... Eric is being blamed for Vets not winning but it's their own greed and selfishness that made them lose... they need someone to blame for their greediness so why not blame the poor guy that was seriously in need of medical attention..
the only person that wasn't selfish and greedy on the final mission was Brad.. and i give him major credit for being a real person and not being so selfish and making sure that Eric was ok.. he stood up to his whole team who only cared about winning the money than a HUMAN'S OWN LIFE...
it makes me sick how some people are only concerned with greed and what can benefit them in life...Eric is suppose to be their friend and they just leave him in the ditch to dry for what like 30 grand?? i don't care if it's your our own worst enemy there is not way i could sit back and watch a human pratically die in front of me..
Eric may be a bigger guy but that doesn't mean he can't perform.... he did well on every single mission... any single person could have collapsed that day or hurt their ankle or something.. i mean what would have happened if Kenny broke his leg... and his bone was sticking through his skin.. would he finish the race??? who knows..
either way it doesn't matter.. the vets lost due to themselves... they are the only ones to blame for it.. Vets i am glad u lost and i hope u all grow up and mature...

yes, definitely.

I completely blame CT. While they were swimming in the last challenge he noticed Eric was afraid of being in that much water. He told Eric if you don't come on I'm going to drown you! I'm sure the fear of the water combined with the the new fear of the threat and mind you every one knows CT can be a scary person, Eric's heartbeat quickened. Then to have him run up the beach and plunge into that ice cold water? Aren't we all surprised he didn't pass out right then and there?

The Vets knew all along that in the end they would have to rely on teamwork to win yet their greed and anger towards each other prevented them from doing the right thing. I'm sure someone probably figured "We're going to have to rely on speed. Can we count on Eric?" but was too much of a chicken to make the statement aloud.

I'm so happy the Rookies won because the Vets were to damn sure of themselves from the beginning.

i agree, he was treated so unfairly. the vets were overwhelmed with the money and that was when i realized that the Rookies deserved to win it all. except Frank, he was a jerk =l

I think he was treated a bit unfairly. But I think Eric also misled his team a bit by making them think he was more physically capable to get through this challenge than he was. People misunderstood when he said he could run a ten minute mile and just because he couldn't handle doing everything that everyone else did in such a quick succession, they still could have won with Eric. I think there should have been a better game plan because everyone knew it would be pretty physically vigorous. They should have been able to keep a steady pace with bursts of going as fast as possible. They should have also found ways to let him rest at each location that wouldn't slow the vets down when they realized it was really getting to Eric.
It's unfortunate for the vets how it all played out but I think that, although a lot of the team treated Eric unfairly during the final challenge, Brad did not. He wanted to win but Eric's health and well being was far more important to him and it showed.
