Question: David A Vocal Purity!?
I noticed a lot of Archuleta fans posting negative things about David Cook and then going on to say that Cook lacks the "vocal purity" of Archuleta!. So can someone explain to me what vocal purity is!?
Are you referring to the smooth quality in his voice that exists because he's yet to hit puberty!?

It means young'ns heard Paula use that phrase to D'Arch in one of her incoherent ramblings and thought it sounded pretty deep (not realizing Paula generally makes no sense to anyone with a brain), so they decided to repeat it over and over again in every post!. I'm surprised we haven't also seen posts about the colors and textures of his voice!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
i am assuming that "vocal purity" is the clarity and the texture of the voice, which david archuleta (may) exemplify, usually, it comes out naturally for most musical prodigy, such as archuleta, but i doubt that he has that since of his paralysis (which gave him this unique sound and texture to his voice, listen to him as he sings low notes on some of his songs)!. but im not saying that archuleta has a sub par voice!. he still has a distinct and melodious voice expected from a prodigy such as him (his melismas are just amazing to hear), but as far as overall talent goes, it's gotta be david cook!. :)Www@Enter-QA@Com
I think it means that Cook's voice is more "gritty" and maybe more suited for Rock, but when he sang "Music Of The Night", he proved that he can he can sing a Ballad in a "pure" voice too!. But both of these guys have great voices,though!. They're just different, so if anything, the competition between them is more a matter of personal taste!. But no one can argue that either isn't talented, so the shameless bashing of either is senseless!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Hey Sam, we dont need bubblegum singers like David A!. He sounds the same every time he sings!. Im not bashing anyone!. The kid is an alright singer, not a great one!. David C does not lack anything!. He's a great singer and can carry a song and puts all of his heart into it!.!.

lol, i completely agree with you girl, he has yet to go through puberty and thats all i have to say!. !.!.!. well one more thing, hes only winning because of the young girls that fall for his little "im so cute" bit, lol thats just my honest opinion though :)Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think the misconception here is that people assume Cook fans hate Archuleta, & Archuleta fans hate Cook!. That's definitely NOT true!. People just prefer one person's style over another!. To me personally, I like David Cook a lot better!. But that doesn't mean David Archuleta is a bad singer, because he has an amazing voice!. This competition though isn't about who has the best voice, but the best talent!. That would mean: range, strength, versatility, charisma, originality, stage presence, personality!.
I hate it when Cook fans bash on little David!. But then again, I'm not being biased here, I noticed that it was the Archuleta fans who bashed on Cook first!. Ever since David Cook started to stand out from the crowd & became a threat to little David winning the competition (which everyone thought would happen), Archuleta fans kept insulting David Cook!. I think it was because they were afraid Cook would steal the competition away from little David!? Which would make sense, because the conflicts between the "Archies" & the "Cookies" started soon after Cook became a front-runner!. But I really wish everyone would stop hating on the David that they don't love!. That'd make this a much fairer competition!.
What makes me even more angry is how people have being saying things like David Cook is arrogant!. Oh, so people are considered cocky now, if they know not to act nervous & keep themselves composed on stage!? He just knows what he's doing & he's confident in himself!. HE'S JUST BEING PROFESSIONAL!. Nothing gets to me more than when people say he is smug, when all he's doing is acting like a true performer!.

I think it is what it is, a true "pure" voice!. I would agree that he has this quality yet he certainly lacks in the "performance" area, which is one of Cook's forte's!.
I think this is an interesting season as I do believe that David A has the better voice!. This doesn't mean that he should win as I am convinced that David C is the better performer by a mile!.

Cook's fans shouldn't worry to much about his "lack of vocal purity"!. In fact, he doesn't need it as a rock star!. This so called "vocal purity" would only make Cook a rocker wannabe if he had it!. The persons who said it is certainly understand nothing about rock and in denial that Cook is good!.
