Question: In One Tree Hill, why is Nathan so mad at his father!? what did he do!?
i just recently start watching this show and i was just wondering what nathans father did to him and lucas to make them so mad at him to the point that hes completely dead to them!. i know he shot their uncle but who gives a crap they can get over that, hes their father and hes dying for petes sake!!. so is their any other reasons why they hate him so much cause i would imagine there would have to be!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Dan had never been a great father to both Nathan and Lucas!. He showered Nathan with money but he abandoned Lucas!. He also conquered Nathan's life and tried to make him the best basketballer ever, even better than him!. Because of that, Nathan's life destroyed!. Dan made it all worse when he killed Keith!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
The reason why they hate him is because he killed his own brother Keith, Lucas & Nathan's uncle! Dan was never the best father figure even if he pretended to be with Nathan!. He didn't only have one son you know, Lucas was his son but he never showed him the same love he showed Nathan! Keith was more of his father than Dan, he was always there whenever Lucas needed him!. Dan never made it easy for Lucas!. He always wanted to prove that Nathan was better!. It's ironic that after everything he did to them he wants forgiveness just because he's going to die! The best thing he can do is just leave them alone and leave Tree Hill! Eventually, someday they'll forgive him!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
He's basically been the antagonist throughout the entire series!. He only killed his brother last season, but everyone hated him before that!. He refused to acknowledge Lucas as his son, let alone a decent person, for the longest time and made Nathan feel like he's a weaker person!. Everything he does is to manipulate the people around him (more often his family)!. He's just always been a bad guy, but lately he's had a "change of heart" and is trying to be a better person!.
