Question: Dr who were our worst fears justified!?
last nights episode was a great concept and we got great performances by billie piper and the legend that is bernard cribbens but catherine tate shouted her way through most of the episode!. wether it was at her fellow refugees or various other characters!. i almost expexted her to shout am i bovvered when london was destroyed!.fingers crossed that she will be leaving at the end of the series!.a truly appalling performance!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think that you either have no understanding whatsoever about how to judge quality of performance in dramatic acting, or you are simply blinded by an irrational prejudice against Catherine Tate!.
Catherine Tate's performance in "Turn Left" was one of the best I have seen by an actress in any drama on British television during the past few years!. Quite apart from the Time Beetle, she actually carried the entire episode on her back from start to finish!. Her range as an actress is truly astonishing!. Billie Piper's performance , good as it was, paled into insignificance next to Catherine Tate's, although Bernard Cribbins and Jacqueline King had a good go at matching Tate's wonderful acting!.
I simply do not understand how any impartial observer can seriously doubt Catherine Tate's ability as a great dramatic actress any longer!. As far as I'm concerned she is amongst the greatest dramatic actresses in the UK, if not the world, at the moment!. She would be well served to forget her comedy show and resume her original career in serious drama in my view!.
As one who remembers (but would prefer to forget) Bonnie Langford screeching and giggling her way through decidedly amateurish performances in 1986 and 87, I find the idea that some people consider Catherine Tate to be one of the worst Doctor Who companions absolutely ridiculous!.
By the way, it has been common knowledge since before last Christmas that Tate only signed up for the current series and won't be doing any more after it ends!. I for one will be very sorry to see her go!. I have no doubt that she is the best companion the Doctor has had since the series was revived in 2005!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Catherine tate is an actress!.!.!.actresses have to take their lead from the writers of the show and the directors,so if a scene calls for shouting,then that is what they have to do!! Catherines character Donna was angry at the world for everything that seemed to be happening,angry with the army for taking all the foreigners away,angry that she had a great big beetle stuck to her back etc etc!.Catherine had to portray that anger somehow and most people when they are angry tend to shout!!
I never watched her show all that much,but she was in a drama on itv called the bad mothers handbook,and she was good in that,and i don't think she's doing that bad in Dr who!.Give her a break!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com

I have to say at first I thought Catherine Tate would be no good in Doctor Who!. But I was wrong she doing a lot better Job then I thought she would!. at the end of the season think it will be Catherine Tate getting killed off!. just before she went back in time she said to Billie Piper I'm going to be OK i don't have do die now!. But Billie Piper said sorry your still going to die!. OK that Donna got killed so the other Donna could meet the Doctor but I think she going to get killed off at the end of the seasonWww@Enter-QA@Com
Sorry-you must be watching the version that was in the alternative universe!. I thought it was great to see such a depth of emotion, coupled with such a quiet maturity at times!. Easily the best assistant they've had!. Look at the sparkle of dialogue you've had between the characters throughout the series-you never had that with the younger more adoring assistants!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
No I disagree I think Cathrine Tate is a much better sidekick than Billie piper ever was!.
I didn't really like her am I bovvered character but in Dr who she does question the Dr motivations and ways of doing what he does!. I think that having a strong willed sidekick is better than a simpering yes girl!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

You may be glad to hear that in part 13 one of the assisstants dies!. Be it Martha or Donna i don't know but all three shows in the "whoniverse" crossover (dr who [obviously],torchwood and sarah jane adventures)!.

I can understand why you would find Catherine Tate's character irritating but I think she acts her part well!. Some people are genuinely loud mouthed and annoying!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
