90's Home and Away question?!

Ok this has been bugging me for a while now but can anyone remember who the character was in Home and Away who, in the late 90's, was bipolar schizophrenic!.
Im sure he lived with Irene and i just keep remembering flashes from episodes where he was convinced his dead/absent dad was telling him to do all this bad stuff and at one point, telling him to jump off a cliff as he 'could fly'!.
