Question: Do the Soaps know !?
Do you think the Soaps know how sick-and-tired viewers are getting of dragging out events for a year or longer!? I completely lose interest when the writers drags things out - do you !? I just wonder if they stretch the story lines - to make a longer-lasting story - because it sure does not make it more interesting !.!. to me, it makes it totally uninteresting!. I prefer not to watch if they drag it out forever!.
also - I wonder the same thing about how they bring a person back from the dead !.!. or with a twin !.!. gosh - it gets so unreal !.!. and hard to watch with interest sometimes!.

Ding-Ding, take a star yo you hit the nail dead on the head!. I do hate when they do that because after awhile you either forget all about it or don't even care!. I believe they do that because they don't know how they are going to bring the truth out they just let the event occur then work out the details later!. Such as how and who killed JI Men, the writers must have been shouting and bumping heads for months on this one!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
People complain about the soaps redoing the same storylines, yet they don't have the patience for soaps to prolong their new and fresh storylines so it will be much further down the line that they have to re-do a storyline!.

I'm sure they do!. They think that's the way to get people to keep tuning in!. It definitely worked during the hostage crisis on General Hospital!. Even my boyfriend had to know what was happening lol!. I also wanted to point out that I'm sick of kids aging years in a matter of weeks!. Nikolas's son Spencer in General Hospital was like, 2 a few months ago!. Now he looks at least 5 or 6!. RRRRR!Www@Enter-QA@Com
They must know!. But they must not have the material to speed the process up!. I agree that there are many times when I'm like end this already!. And now with the power of DVR I just ffwd through the boring long drawn out parts!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
They certainly should know!. One of the soaps a few years ago dragged out a pregnancy for 2 full years!. The shortest pregnancy was only 2 months and it was supposed to be full term!. Crazy huh!?Www@Enter-QA@Com
Over here is the UK we don't have people coming back from the dead in any soap (that is very funny)!.!.!.but the dragging out a story line is a different thing!. Drives me absolutely crazyWww@Enter-QA@Com

The reason why storylines are dragged on forever, is because the writers think that more and more viewers will watch to find out what happens next!. When this happens for too long, usually there will be a major drop in ratings and writers will come up with the most unreal thing to get viewers back!. An example is Days of Our Lives Salem Serial Stalker/Killer story line of 2004!. The killer was revealed and viewers new who she was for months, and nothing happened!.!.!.until she died!.!.!.!.Then her and all of her victims came back alive!.!.!.!.ratings spiked so high at that time, but then once again dropped because the story dragged on and on and on and!.!.well u get the picture!.!.lol!.
