There were hamster's and gerbils and Guinea pigs and they were real animals, that had human voices!? They rode in cars and hot air balloons and things, Can anyone help!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

They're on the wrong track with this one!. It's NOT Nick Jr!.'s Wonder Pets (that popular trio are animated)!.!.!.the show in question is "Once Upon a Hamster" (the 1987-94 Animal Planet/YTV version of "Tales of the Riverbank", which began on Canadian TV in black and white in 1959 and was reshot in color in 1962)!.
A narrator did voiceovers for all the (very live) hamster (named Hammy), guinea pig (named G!.P!.) and all the other animals!. They gotten around their riverfront town in model cars and such as you described!.
