True blood question......?!

Sam is a shape shifter as was mentioned!. The biggest hint was in the first episode -- when Sookie says "OMG, that's a vampire!" and Sam is the ONLY ONE who says "Yes, you're right!." He can smell them!. And then when Sookie leaves the bar to save Bill in episode one, Sam leaves shortly after her to stop her, remember!? But we don't see Sam anywhere!. And then a dog shows up, barking at Bill but kisses Sookie!. That was Sam!. The dog is always around watching over Sookie!.

yes!. For the reasons you mentioned above, for the books, and also because if you notice, he really hates vampires! Especially in the last episode "Burning House of Love!." I know he is in love with Sookie and is jealous that she is in love with Bill, but he has an extreme distaste for vampires and actually stood up to the three ghouls at the bar!. when him and tara were hooking up for the first time, he had a painting of the same dog that is seen walking around!!
