Question: American Idol Audition Question - Age!?
I know you have to be 16 to do Idol!.
I'm 15 now (my birthday is in the middle of August) and I really want to try out for Idol next summer!. I've been waiting for the auditions since I was 8 and I honestly think I have a chance to make it big!. (Even if you think I'm lying/have a big head/think I'm good when I'm not, push that aside to answer this question and pretend I'm good!.) I do all I can on my own but coming from a suburbanite with no connections in the industry fame doesn't exactly come my way lol!.
So does anyone know exactly by what date you have to be 16 by!? The day of the first audition, the day your audition is, the day of the last audition, the day you see the judges, the day the show airs!.!.!. !?!?

On the left side of this page (link below) under the list of cities you will see Audition Rules!. Click there and it will answer your questions plus give you other needed info!. The information is for this year's auditions, but will be helpful to you as you plan to audition in the future!.
I don't think you can try out next year as the cut off date this year was in July--( you had to be 16 by a certain date in July 2008)!. You do have to take a guardian with you if you are under 18!.

You probably have to be 16 on the day of your audition!. Good luck with your music career!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
it goes all throughout the summer i think but you might have to travel to another city if your not of age yet!.
