I AGREE!!!
They awarded her because she's a good singer and her album is doing really well. She did deserve those awards, just because she has problems doesn't mean she can't be rewarded for the things she does well.
well since they don't base the grammys on how much crack you smoke, id say it doesn't actually matter... its about the music...
The Grammy voters did !
she's a good singer....get over yourself
Wow, you're a jerk. And jealous, I suspect. She has a GREAT voice and is being recognized for that fact, despite the fact that she's going through a hard time. She DID deserve those Grammys despite your opinion (which I managed to refrain from calling ignorant).
Add: Just to be clear, I don't really care for her personally, she seems arrogant and rude, but she DOES have talent and she is very unique in an industry full of cookie-cutter stars and I very much respect that. I'm glad she managed to get famous despite the fact that she doesn't fit the stereotype.
I agree with you, it was like they were rewarding her drug behavior...sick!
No, I think that she deserved them. She was able to produce good music this year, despite her considerable "personal" problems.
So because you take drugs you have no talent & should not
be given awards people like Charlie Parker ,Billie Holiday
,John Colltrane,Jimi Hendrix,Janis Joplin & so many never
deserved musical appreciation but the likes of say Cliff Richard should be venerated I think not
She deserve all that she won.
Eh, I don't care for he music and think she's extremely overrated but she was something different, and if there's anything that I know about the grammys is that every year they will single out a new/innovative/popular artist and give them like 10 awards and then they usually fizzle into the back ground and never really gain as much fame as they did that night. Alicia Keys has been the only recent one to defy the last part of this trend.
Did she NOT write those songs? Did she NOT sing them? Did she not bare her soul for the world to see? Natalie Cole is quite wrong for self-righteous bashing of this woman. I am a recovering addict, too, and I say that Cole should have reached out to somebody suffering, or has she forgotten how alone she was when she was on it? Give back what was so freely given to you, Natalie...PEACE.
