I love Cardcaptor Sakura and for a classic anime Dragon Ball Z.
I think Elfen Lied is the best anime series ever. It was only 13 espisodes, but it was the most emotional and action packed, bloody anime. By the end of the series I was in tears because you just get so attatched to the characters. You can relate to all of them and then when they get killed or whatnot, it's really sad. So I'd have stick with Elfen Lied. I recommend it to everyone. Go ahead and check it out. It is rated mature because there is a lot of nudity. Half the series, Mew, as they call her, is naked.

I believe it all comes down to the individual as to what is the best anime series. I myself love InuYasha but also others like Naruto, Bleach. I like how the characters are portrayed as angry at who or what they are but in the end it all comes down to one changing his or her outlook on their life.
