L vs. Kira Who's smarter Light or L?!
Question: Officially, L is given a 8/10 on intelligence, and Light is given a 9/10. However, I disagree with this assertion, and feel that L is far smarter than Light. After all, Light had a huge advantage in the form of a Death Note- yet L was able to keep up with him. If it wasn't for Rem, L would have won.

Personally I think that Light is actually smarter, but L is still better. L has the experience and seems to be able to spot things that would escape the normal person. I don't think its about being smart. L was the better man and he was on Lights heels the whole way. Light didn't kill him, he couldn't.
I think Light is smarter but I also think that L is pretty Damn smart so I really dont know
Light is smarter he worked how he would lose the dearth note then get it back after he cleared his name
I would definatly have to say Light is smarter. He was smart enough to figure out a way to return his memory and get his notebook back while making L think that he was no longer kira.
I guess it would have to be Light... He "beat" L, after all. ;___;
Alright...I would definitely say Light is smarter...especially the way he managed to figure out how he would get the Death Note back after he got himself imprisoned...
But...
L was smart as hell too because he was able to keep up with Light...especially in the beginning when he broadcasted "L himself" on tv and Light fell for it and gave up his location...
In a way they each were a challenge for themselves and deep down they knew they loved the chase...
L is smarter. Light has school smarts, but L has that and knowledge of everything else. In my opinion, L is much more intelligent, and I agree with the first poster. Light would have lost if Rem hadn't slipped away and killed Watari and L.
I'd have to go with Light, just because L typically would spend hours formulating his plans, while Light only had mements to react adn create a plan to get out of it.
L is smarter because he knew that it was light but he had to prove it ,and he tricked light so many times
