Well my friend!. You just happened to get me in that mood to give you a nice long epic answer!.
In terms of Naruto's current ninja skill status, it does not seem that he meets the requirement of being a Hokage!.
However, due to his persistence of wanting to be the future Hokage, he may have an opportunity to fight for the post, but perhaps at the moment it is too early to have too many speculations of whether he will be a Hokage; there is certainly one disadvantage of what thwarting him to become Hokage is his ocassional naive manners toward others and his partly immaturity!.
Being a Hokage also requires great amount of powerful skills, for me that seen the last four Hokages and the current one Tsunade, they all possess high amount of power (obviously); Imagining Naruto is a Hokage, it is impossible for him in my point of view, and I got a little disappointed of his training with Jiraya because he hasn't shown any impressive skills from the start of the series till now, but instead by using the power of Kyuubi, as you can see his fight with Orochimaru!. But you know that eventually once the demon fox is completely controlled he can be who he is after developing skill from all of his potential!. In the end even if Tsunade dies I see more of a Kakashi as hokage like Jiraya said but, you know they have to let Naruto fulfill his dream it is his story!. But I think that if he is able to unleash that power (IF THEY EVER GO BACK TO THE TOAD THAT JIRAYA SET BEFORE HE DIED AND TSUNADE SEEN MAYBE I WOULD HAVE A CLUE!.) But if he does he can be hokage because of his potential that no one else has!. He may not have the developed skills like a kakashi, but he can evolve in to something better!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think he will most likely become hokage because he's the main character and it is his goal in life, and with this kind of anime (main character has huge goal in which he/she works throughout the entire series to obtain), it usually happens!. Plus, his dad was one and he is one of the most powerful characters in the show!. Picture the show ending without him becoming hokage; it's a little weird!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
