Personally I've stopped caring anymore.

I too would stop caring aswell. Let it go and move on. There are far better bands around now than axl rose's bunch of nobodies anyway!!!!!!!!
The longer the delay , the bigger the expectation will be and more than likely you will be dis-appointed with the songs that have taken 10+ years to record.
Actually maybe the reason is because the unreleased chinese democracy album now sounds too out of date to Axl, so he has scrapped the songs and gone back to the drawing board to write some more modern sounding songs.
but don't hold your breath.................. I think he is all washed up !!!!!!!!!
