OK here is the logical answer:
lier ==> lies is TRUE
so in this instance
lier says lies means the logical value of his statement is true. He tells the truth. A calssical paradox. A lier tells a truth ... neverthelss he is still a lier who happens to say a truth. Enjoy :-)
