First correct answer gets 10 points. Math?!

Question: There are six men, each with 6 baskets. Each basket holds 6 cats, and each cat has 6 kittens. How many legs are there?

This is not a trick question, and no easy answers. Tis is not for homework either, I am a 28 year old industrial mechanic, just seein who can figure this out and how quickly.

6060 legs

60!

its either none or 12!
(i think)

36

6060 legs are there

1020

mens legs
cats legs
kittens legs.

1020??

60 6 cats = 24 6 kittens =24 6 men = 12 unless there are any of them that are mising limbs

5196

180

after coming back and re reading the question, i realised that i read the men carried one basket, not 6.......guess it pays to read properly huh

No. of men = 6
No. of baskets = 6 x 6
= 36
No.of cats = 36 x 6
= 216
No. of kittens = 216 x 6
= 1296
No. of legs of men = 6 x 2
= 12
No.of legs of cats = 216 x 4
= 864
No. of legs of kittens = 1296 x 4
= 5184
Total no. of legs of living things = 5184 + 864 + 12
= 6060

Haha am I right?

translate it into algebraic equation so that you can solve your problem.. ok

876

Each man holds one bag containing 6 cats ande 6 kittens for each cat. No. of legs per man = 2 + 6 x 4 + 36 x 4 =170.
So totally there 170 x 6 = 1020 legs.

Each man ha 2 legs. Each cat has 4 legs and each kitten has 4 legs.

OK best wishes.

5, 196. Dang...someone got that before me. In that case, I revise my answer to 4. Because the litle kitten I'm holding right now is the only one that matters.

Amazing how many different answers there are, huh?

6060

there are 6 men times 2 which is 12 legs

kittens have paws, not legs.

6060 legs....it is a very easy question to work out if you have a maths brain....

How about 180 legs in total....LOL Now why do I think this a trick question ?LOL 6 x30=180 ?

1,020.

6 men 12legs

6 cats 24 legs each basket

144 legs for 6 baskets

36 kittens each basket

each basket has 6 kats

each basket has 36 kittys

coz 1 cat has 6 kittys

each has given birth to 24 legs

each basket has 144 kitty legs

864 total num of kitty legs

864+144+12

1020 is d total num of legs

1020

men's legs = 6*2 = 12
cat's legs = 6*6*4 = 144
kitten's legs = 6*6*6*4 = 864

6x 6x6x6

180 legs

6060

I am not even gonna tell you how I worked this out.

Am I right?

You have just reminded me why I hated Math class.

You are really annoying you know that.

My head is swollen

I have answered this question more than 6 times now(editing it every 5 seconds)

I'm with the fire man avatar

LOL

156.
the reason for my answer being that eack cat has 6 kittens, but there is no mention of wether the kittens were in the basket.

12! because the cats and kittens are IN the basket we can't see their legs and baskets don't have any leg........
