I think he is really funny and he is not as you make him out to be - one dimensional. He is a spiritual person and is a Harri Krishna. That alone shows what a good person he is at heart and that he has substance. I personally think his tv show is really funny and when he makes a joke his whole face lights up in a cheeky childlike grin that makes me laugh even more! If you don't like him don't watch his tv show, don't read his book (that you can't critisise cos you haven't read it!) and don't buy his dvd!! Simple! Oh and as for me being stupid for liking him - you are twice as stupid for writing a question about some-one you supposedly take no interest in!! I never used to think much of him but since watching his show I really like him!

any how, I think with all comedy there are those who hate it and who love a good example of this is Little Britain and Catherine Tate show.
And please,Russel Brand is not the first 'adult' comedian, in fact I think he's not just a comedian,hes an actor ,and to some an inspiration!He got himself off drugs and stuff and is raking it in because hes so damn different.

If you mean he is untalented as a Comedian, I would have to say that it is subjective, In that what one person finds funny, another wouldn't.
