Is there any originality left for the movie industry?!

I'm beginning to doubt that there is any originality because your right all movies seem to show us something we've seen before. I want to see a movie w/ a new plot that isn't afraid to do something daring.
Sure, there's lots of talent and imagination out there. The trouble is that those people with talent and imagination are not the ones in power. The bottom line money mongers are the ones setting what gets made. Their rationale is "Will it make money?". Said but true.
I totally agree with you - it seems to me there isn't anymore originality in the movie industry. The scary movies have the same plot and/or theme and just aren't originals anymore. I am so tired of these remakes of the older movies, too because they are not at all better than the originals.
its all about the money,indies are great for the viewer,but hollywood needs to turn a profit.cant blame them really,if you put 100 mil in a movie, you have to serve your demographics.usually younger people that dont get indies.
Yes...it's called "beginning credits." They are coming up with new and improved ways to show people's names associated with creating the film. Take Spiderman 3...awful movie, but the way they had the names blend into the sides of the buildings...GENIUS!
As for the plots... well, I usually don't try to find those anymore. But about 90-120 minutes later...the end credits come on. That's where you get to hear the new hot song of the season.
Its also worth mentioning those loveable commercials that come on for the first fifteen minutes of the "movie." You know, the ones that you can't figure out what they are about until they say the product at the end.
Ex...SUV driving up through the mountains...bears and wolves running by...person base jumping from a cliff and then the product comes up... Charmin bath tissue.
