What Un-Sentimental, Un-Sappy Holiday-Themed Movies/TV Episodes/Documentaries wi!
Question: We're all twenty-something and cynical, and while a touch of sentimental reflection isn't a problem, we don't need to be told about the 'Meaning of Christmas'.
Have you seen BBC's adaptation of Terry Pratchett's 'Hogfather'? We totally loved that. L-O-V-E-D it. The Grim Reaper fills in for the Discworld's Santa for the night. No squishy stuff. A bit of philosophy. Dark and subtly humorous. The book was written WAY before Nightmare Before Christmas. And is way better.
And now that I mention it? No Nightmare Before Christmas.
Anything you got, stand-up comedy, documentaries, movies, TV episodes: We need something to watch while stuffing our faces on Thursday.
