I think Episode I was weak, but the other 5 are awesome. Just can't stand Jar-Jar!! And if you notice my user name, Jodo Kast is a bounty hunter that looks a lot like Boba Fett, in one of the books (of course, he's killed by Fett in that book, but still...)
There is a whole world of fans out there and i am sure many of them would say that they love them dare i say it more than you.we all watch each one as if it is our first time watching my husband for one is a complete freak and if i dare ask a questions about it we will surely argue for at least an hour.i guess you can say the force is stronger with some people than others.
It's funny but I think anyone that grew up at the time the original three came out they would greatly disagree with you. I was a HUGE Star Wars nut when I was a kid. Star Wars was epic and the Empire Strikes Back is one of the best movies ever made (and by the far the best of the Star Wars movies). I had every action figure from the first two movies and played with them every day until I was 12.
Unforunately everything after that has been just plain bad. The Return of the Jedi lacked the emotion of the Empire Strikes Back and the Ewoks were just too cute and unbelivable (I mean really...teddy bears defeating the stormtroopers. They just turned the elite imperial forces into the keystones cops.)
The Phantom Menace I thought was the best of the three new movies and I thought as good as Episode 6. But Jar-Jar killed me and the movie spent WAY too much time discussing politics. The race scene was cool, but the kid was hokey and couldn't act. And why did George Lucas suddenly decide to throw the story's details in the garbage? C3P0 was constructed by Anakin? Come on.
The Attack of the Clones was just horrible. Worst of the movies by far. It seemed to me that George Lucas was trying to run a commercial for his CGI department at Lucas Arts & Entertainment. Why couldn't they get guys in storm trooper outfits anymore? The scenes with Anakin (the worst actor in the entire series) and Padamay were god awful. Why would she fall for him, he's whinny and clingy. There's nothing appealing about the kid at all.
The Revenge of the Sith...I was so sick of the series by then I've only watched it once.
