Ran, the Japanese adaptaion of Shakespeare's King Lear is by far and away the BEST adaptation of any of The Baird's works I have ever seen.

Simply stunning is the only way I can describe it, and it is No1 of my most favourite foreign movies of all time.

Damn, now you've made me want to see it again!
