Question: A long time ago, I remember seeing this sci-fi movie about a kid who steals a guinea pig from his father's laboratory, without knowing that the animal is infected with a deadly virus; when the kid's father finds out that the animal is missing, without realizing that his son took it, a desperate search is initiated, before the virus quickly infects thousands of people
I would very much like to find this, but I don't have a title. Help!!

...sounds very much like you're describing a mid-seventies made for T.V. movie, called "The Missing Are Deadly"; if I recall correctly, Leonard Nimoy played one of the scientists who was searching for the missing rat (...rather than guinea pig), as well as the kid who took it...
