The Others?!
Question: The Others!?
So I watched it yesterday, first time ever even though it came out in 2001, and I've heard that it was really amazing and possibly the best movie of this millenium!.!.!. so my expectations were high, but then I finished it, and I don't think it was THAT great!. I liked it a lot, with all the suspense and then the huge twist at the end of course, but at the same time I think it was only alright on my list of the top scary movies!. Maybe it's because ghost stories don't particularly interest me as much as things like the Ring, for example!. There wasn't any gore either, which is fine by me, but at least the Ring actually scared me!.!.!. even though it wasn't realistic!. The Others was just kinda creepy!.
I still like it though!. I don't know!.
So my question: what do you think of it (compared to The Ring maybe!?) AND, what's your top 5 list of scary movies!?
(I initially prefer intellectual thrillers to slasher films like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and stuff like that but there are exceptions :)Www@Enter-QA@Com

I didn't love The Others, but I did enjoy the twist at the end; I didn't see that coming at all!.
The Ring; that was just freaky!.!.!. I don't like weird phone calls saying that I'm going to die in a specific amount of days!.
As for my top 5, here it is:
1) Open Water - This is without a doubt the one of the scariest movies to exist!. The reason why is because just like the couple on the boat, you can easily be forgotten in the middle of the ocean while going scuba diving!. This is SO realistic!.
2) Nightmare on Elm Street - I was afraid to go to sleep!.
3) The Exorcist - Again, I do believe there are possesed people in the world, it's scary to know that!.
4) Cast Away - I know this isn't a horror flick, but I couldn't imagine being trapped on an island all by myself!. (Wilson doesn't count)
5) Halloween - Michael Myers is just freaking scary!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I thought the Others had a decent twist at the end, but I agree!. It was a little slow! I give it a 6/10!

I didn't care to much for The Others, I'd have given it 5/10!. It seemed to drag a little too, quite a slow pace!.
