Honestly as great as the cinematography and script were!.!.!.!.!.it has to be said!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Heath Ledger's performance is what made the movie unforgettable and amazing!. The way he played the joker has made him immortal as the greatest on screen villain and honestly as much as I enjoyed Aaron Eckhart, Christian Bale, and Maggie Gyllenhaal in the film Heath ruled every single scene to the point where you left the theatre remembering his every word!.
Yes the Dark Knight was the most succesfull film of 2008 and definantly one of the most amazing but when it comes to Best Picture its not simply about the entertainment value!.!.!.its about films like Slumdog Millionaire and The Reader that have true cinematic value and make you stop and think for a good 15 minutes after you watch them about everything you just saw!.!.!.!.this year was full of fantastic films and unfortuantely there can only be 5 contenders and everyone of them that was nominated I believe deserved to be there more than the Dark Knight!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It would have been nice but I wasn't honestly expecting it so I'm not disappointed!. Its just not in the style of the Academy to nominate a film like this!.!.!.same with the first Pirates film!.
