Don't you think 50 cent's "window shopper" is ironic...?
Its about how he used to window shop but could never afford such things cuz he was poor, but now he's all rich and can supposedly buy whatever he wants. Yet in the song he says "you's a window shopper" in a bragging way. Don't you think that's ironic. I mean you'd think since he used to be a window shopper himself, you'd think he'd be more sympathetic and understanding; rather than saying 'haha'.

But if you listen to the correct version of the song, you will hear some names. In this song he refers to the people who used to laugh at him for being poor, to those who were not sympathetic to him during his childhood. Not to poor people in general, of course. I agree! I'm not the biggest fan of 50 (i only have like 2 of his songs) because he seems like one of the cockiest people out there...You would think getting shot 9 times would change his attitude but no....If you get a chance see if you can find his interview on MTV it was called "All Eyes on Me". I'm just really surprised at how cocky he is. gd point, and its gd u listen to underground stuff.. but i'm not gd at rap literature dude, but i'd have to agree that its quite ironic. and anyway, isn't all that what rap is abt? if u really listen to undersground rap, u must know rap is all abt metaphors.. its an art. but yeah 50 cent ain't gd.. he aint talkin bout himself.. "Window Shopper" is a diss record, remember, all 50 Cent does is diss. first off 50 is not the sympathetic type. he left his boy bangem smurf in jail when he first got signed. dude is straight up grimey. but 50 back in the day was fresh always gettin sneakers at the colosium and clothes on jamaica ave. he use to hustle under the name Boo Boo.
