The following are all as relaxing and uplifting as you can get without taking a Radox bath!!
Thomas Tallis' 'Spem in Alium' by The Sixteen.
'Stabat Mater' by Antonin Dvorak
'Kanon Pokajanen' by Arvo Part ( A modern composition, but with the traditional spine-tingling sound, particularly on a good hi-fi! )
Palestrina's 'Masses and Motets' by the Tallis Scholars ( actually anything by the Tallis Scholars is pretty mind-blowing, this is my favourite )

1. The Sixteen

2. On a few songs, like "Media Vita," the group Anuna.

Walton, Vaughn Williams, Barber, Poulenc all have dozens of pieces that qualify

Allegri: Miserere
Barber: Agnus Dei
Tallis: Spem in alium
Duruflé: Motets
Poulenc: Motets

while most religious music will sound cavernous if performed in a church, I take it you want a big sound.
Try the Vespers by Rachmaninoff. This is usually performed by a huge group of people, a cappella, as the Orthodox Church does not condone the use of instruments in church services. The music is written for 8 to 16 voices, and the effect of the low basses is overwhelmngly cavernous.
If your sound system is good, your bass speakers should be rattling. Russian low basses are famous for their floor shaking sounds. However, the overall effect is solemn and soothing enough.

Faure: Requiem
Durufle: Requiem
