Duran Duran, Mike & the Mechanics, or Cutting Crew?!


Question: Mike and the Mechanics for talent. Really liked Silent Running and All you Need is a Miracle. Mike Rutherford resume is more tha accomplished! Duran Duran for longevity....not as big a fan as others. I thought Cutting Crews I Just Died in Your Arms Tonight was a good hit for a one hit wonder!

    • Well Cam, it just has to be Duran Duran. I like the Cutting Crew alot too, but there is just nothing that compares to the feeling some of DD's stuff evokes in me, particularly "Rio", and "The Morning After" - great stuff!
    Duran Duran far and away. Those other two acts are one step removed from Mister Mister.
    Hey, I'll agree that Mike and company were talented as hell, but they have nothing on Duran Duran (Genesis connections aside). A better comparison for Cutting Crew would be somebody like Kajagoogoo... one and done bands that are better off left in the 80s.
