I really do think that Soulja Boy is overrated. I think he is very very untalented and his new song "Crank That" is just horrid. I really do agree with you about listening to Kanye West. He, along with this rapper named Lupe Fiasco, epitomizes REAL Hip-hop music.
Soulja Boy is far from overrated, ppl just dont like him because they wanna be in his shoes, they wish they had what he had. Anyways yeah I listen to rock sometimes, and I listen to Kanye too, I liek him.
I think he is over-rated, but who am I? He's all over the radio and we're talking about him right now, so SOMEBODY'S listening. I guess we'll just have to wait and see where he is a year or two from now, or if he'll just be another one-hit wonder.
Also, don't sale yourself short by falling into genres. Just like what you like whether it's rock, rap, country, jazz, or whatever. No one music sucks, no one music rules. Most of the artists we listen to will tell you that themselves.
