and you can't beat James Taylor

I'll have to go for James Taylor. My dad played him alot around the house when i was growing up, and although i hated Taylor then, i find him listenable now, although i'm still not his biggest fan
Totally James Taylor!! I saw him in concert a few years ago and he was great!!
Cat Stevens wins hands down as the most original, only my opinion the other two are also pretty good..
James Taylor. Most versatile...longest career...has significantly more albums than the other two artists...and is not a member of al Queda. Ha!

James Taylor and Jackson Browne how could you ever split them.
Live, it's Jackson Browne easily. I've seen him about 10 times. Some of the best rock and roll you'll ever see. JT is awesome. No doubt. I've only seen him a couple of times, and that was back in the Carley Simon era. Kind of hard to say what he'd be like live now.
Cat Stevens isnt in that league. Not in my book anyway.

All three of these guys have careers that "started" around 1970. JT was the first album produced by the Beatles on Apple records in 1970. Jackson Browne was writing songs for people before that. "Take It Easy" by the Eagles was his song. That came out late 1970 early 1971. Jackson was already an established songwriter. And he has a TON of albums by the way.
Cat may have hit the charts later, but not by much. "Wild World" may have come out late 1971 or so. I forget for sure. But the careers timewise are not that much different.
