it was done by a lady named MILLIE JACKSON WAAAAAAAAY BACK IN 1977, don't know who wrote it though. I think she had a couple of hits like "the clean up woman",,DON'T KNOW WHAT MERLE LIKED ABOUT THIS SONG TO RECORD IT...(i hate it) BUT WHO'S THE LEGEND HERE..OK OKIEFAN-SHUT UP!!!OK..HA-HA!
OH YEAH, the original song was called..

millie jackson was defintely first, but both versions are nice.
