1) Anders Friden, from In Flames. He puts a lot a emotion into his voice, and that's what I like to see in a melodic metal band.
2) Probably Dave Mustaine, some people like him, some people hate him.
3)I'm gonna have to go with Mustaine again.

Herman Li has to be one of the best guitarists to have ever lived. sorry slash.. you just cant keep up buddy.
Lyric wise i would have to say they are the best simply because they sing on a metaphorical level that most bands don't. They also sing more on factors that are placed as characteristics of people instead of feelings. They sing about honor,glory, triumph over evil..ect.
They pretty much take the cake, the only bands i can think of that really come close to these guys are Dio and Rush with lyrics and Iron Maiden for guitar/bass/drums.. etc.
