Three notes on top of each other can make a chord. Say for example F, A and C in the spaces on a C treble clef Stave will make a simple F major. (You could add a further higher F note on the top line to make a four note F chord).

Whereas F,A,C,E in the spaces will make Fmajor7. G,B,D on a C stave will make a simple G major.

If the notes are on the lines, or in the spaces you can sit them on top of each other to denote they are all played at one time (as a chord).

Often on older sheet music the chords are only shown as notes, but on modern music mostly you will see the chords also written below. e.g. C or Cmajor7

Leo A

It depends which chord it is, say its an A chord. Then it would just be one A note on a music sheet. You should find out which chord it is, then you can identify it.
